Anne and I were invited to raise funds for charity recently at the Vancouver Giants game. But it wasn’t your typical fundraiser. $10,000 in frozen loonies were spread across centre ice and randomly chosen fans along with some people from the media had 60 seconds to pick up as much money as they can. Whatever the fans picked up they keep. And the loonies that we picked up goes to a charity of our choice. Since Anne and I are both animal lovers we decided that our loonies would go to the SPCA and the Coquitlam Animal Shelter.

We discussed our strategy prior and here’s what we came up with…

Sophie and I love oysters… but Mark and Steve are not the biggest fans of the shellfish… last time Steve had a raw oyster he had to go to the hospital.. and that was in 1996!! But he tried one again on live TV this morning… and of course he picked the Beach Oyster variety… aka the biggest one on the plate.
