Last weekend, the Global TV staff was a part of history. Not TV history, but Global staff members were all guests at the biggest Christmas party ever to have been hosted in Vancouver. With almost 2500 guests all in one room, it was a whale of a party. There were close to 300 tables in the ballroom at the Vancouver Convention Centre and we all had assigned seating. The dinner was a delicious buffet dinner, so you can imagine how much food was served that night.

The reason why we were lucky to be a part of this extravagant event is because as some of you know, Shaw recently acquired CanWest Media. So in previous years Global had Christmas parties of around 300 guests but this year it was almost ten times as big since the invite list included all of the Shaw employees.
